Dover Window Cleaning for Estates on Well Water.
Window cleaning, house washing and roof and gutter care for Dover, where the lots run two to ten acres, the roofs are cedar and copper, and almost every house draws its water from a well. We bring our own water, plan around the septic and quote after we have walked the property.

What We Clean on a Dover Home.
What Makes Dover Different.
What comes out of the tap
Roughly seventy percent of Dover homes are on private wells, and most of the rest are served by Aquarion from the Francis Street wellfield, which has a history of iron and manganese discoloration. There is no MWRA water in town. Either way, the water at the spigot carries minerals that dry as haze or orange staining on glass, so we do not use it. Every rinse comes from our own filtered tank. Dover's water restriction bylaw applies to every source including private wells, which is one more reason we arrive with water rather than drawing down yours.
What grows on the house
Noanet Woodlands, Hale Reservation, Powisset Farm and the Charles River put Dover under some of the heaviest oak, pine and hemlock cover in our service area. Cedar roofs and sidewalls grow moss and lichen on the shaded sides, copper and standing-seam metal collect needles and sap, and everything turns yellow with pollen for a few weeks in May. Cedar is cleaned at low pressure with a solution made for wood. Metal and copper get products that will not etch the finish. Nobody walks a cedar roof, and no pressure washer touches one.
What to know before we come
Dover has no local historic district. The Historical Commission administers a demolition delay bylaw for buildings judged worth preserving, and that has nothing to do with cleaning. Every house is on septic, so wash water and runoff are kept off the leach field and away from the well head. Long private drives are the norm and our truck fits most of them. Where a drive is gravel, crushed stone or freshly sealed, we stop at the road and bring the hoses in on foot.
Dover Homeowners Ask Us.
I am on a well. Will your rinse leave spots?
No. The final rinse is filtered deionized water from our own tank, and it dries spot-free even where the house's own water is high in iron and calcium. We can also remove the mineral stains your sprinklers have already left.
Do you clean cedar roofs on Dover estates?
Yes. Cedar gets a low-pressure application of a wood-safe cleaner and a moss treatment applied from the edge and the ladder. Pressure washing shortens the life of the shakes, so it is never used.
Can you handle a property with a main house, a barn and a pool house?
Yes. We quote the whole property, schedule it as one or two full days for a two-person crew, and clean the outbuildings to the same standard as the house.
Does the Dover water restriction affect house washing?
It limits outdoor water use from every source, including private wells. We supply our own water for washing and rinsing, so the work does not draw on your well or conflict with the bylaw.
