Deck Restoration
From Grey Back to the Wood You Paid For.
Sun and rain turn hardwood and cedar silver-grey in a couple of seasons. The wood underneath is usually fine. We take a deck back in three steps, and the third one keeps it there.

A low-pressure wash with a wood-safe cleaner lifts the grey, oxidised fibres, mildew and old residue without furring or gouging the boards.

A wood brightener neutralises the cleaner and opens the grain, bringing the natural colour and warmth back to the surface. This is the step most companies skip.

How do you clean our windows?
With deionized, purified water for a spotless, streak-free finish. We scrub the glass with boar's hair brushes on extension poles, then rinse with pure water so nothing is left to dry into spots. Interior glass is finished by hand. For very tall homes we bring in our aircraft; for large panes we soft wash with pure water and brush as needed.
What do you use to clean siding?
A mix of pressure washing and soft washing, matched to your siding. Durable materials that can take it get pressure washing for heavy algae; delicate surfaces get gentle soft washing. For stubborn buildup we apply bleach-free solutions to lift the algae first, then soft wash it away.
What if we have chipped or delicate paint?
Those areas get extra care: algae is hand-brushed off gently, or soft washed at very low pressure. Protecting your home always comes first, so we never put aggressive pressure on a fragile surface.
How will you clean our roof?
On accessible roofs we soft wash by hand with only downward pressure, so shingles and their granules stay protected. Heavy moss or algae gets a bleach-free treatment first, then a soft-wash rinse. Roofs too high or too steep to reach safely are cleaned by our drone system.
What does deck restoration involve?
Three steps. First a low-pressure clean with a wood-safe cleaner to lift the grey, oxidised fibres and mildew. Then a wood brightener that neutralises the cleaner and brings the natural colour back. Then, once the wood is dry, a penetrating stain or sealer to hold the colour and shed water and sun. Composite decks get the cleaning and a rinse; they do not need the stain.
Do we need to remove the screens?
Your choice. Some clients leave them on so the screens get cleaned too; others take them out to clear the sills. For the best result on the glass we recommend removing them, and we can take them off and put them back for a small fee.
What about the patio and the grout?
We use a dedicated surface cleaner that delivers an even, consistent, streak-free finish across the whole patio. It will not blast the grout out or damage it, and we rinse everything down thoroughly afterward so there is no mess left behind.
How is the work priced?
By the home, after we have seen it, because the drivers are physical: glass count, siding area and material, roof pitch, how much growth there is, and whether it is a one-time visit or a plan. You get one clear number up front, and the price we quote is the price you pay. Bundling services into one visit costs less than booking them separately, and recurring plans price below one-off visits.
Do you take on private estates and recurring residential contracts?
Yes. For larger properties and households that want the exterior looked after year-round, we set up a recurring program: glass, facade, roof, decks, hardscape and solar on a calendar built around the family, with the same crew each visit, certificates of insurance on file and a single point of contact. Estate managers and family offices are welcome to arrange a walk-through.
