Concord Window Cleaning Made for Moderately Hard Water.
Window cleaning, house washing and roof and gutter care for Concord, from the 1700s Colonials on Monument Street to the new builds off Barretts Mill Road. Concord's water is harder than Boston's, so the rinse matters here more than in almost any town we serve.

What We Clean on a Concord Home.
What Makes Concord Different.
What comes out of the tap
Concord runs its own water system, not the MWRA. Six groundwater wells and Nagog Pond supply the town, and the water tests moderately hard at around 78 milligrams per liter, or about 4.6 grains per gallon. That is roughly five times harder than what Boston and Newton get. Any tap water that dries on glass here leaves calcium behind, which is why a house washed with a garden hose looks worse a week later. Every exterior pane we clean gets a pure-water final rinse from our own tank. Homes outside the town system are on private wells, which tend to add iron, and the same rinse handles that too.
What grows on the house
The Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Rivers, the Great Meadows, Walden Pond and White Pond keep Concord's air damp, and the oak, pine and hemlock canopy keeps the north side of most houses in shade. Together they put mildew on shaded clapboard and moss on north roof slopes faster than in the towns closer to Boston. Cedar roofs are still common on the antiques and are treated with a no-pressure solution that kills the growth without disturbing the shakes. Painted clapboard gets a soft wash that removes the green without lifting the paint.
What to know before we come
The Concord Historic Districts Commission, created by a 1960 special act, governs six districts: American Mile, Barrett Farm, Main Street, North Bridge and Monument Square, Church Street and Hubbardville. It reviews exterior architectural changes visible from a public way. Ordinary maintenance, including cleaning, is exempt. Many of the older houses sit close to the road with the yard behind, so we plan the hoses and the truck around the neighbors and the traffic on Monument Street and Lexington Road, especially on weekends when the park visitors arrive.
Concord Homeowners Ask Us.
Why do my windows spot after the sprinklers run?
Because Concord's water is moderately hard, and every drop that evaporates on the glass leaves calcium behind. We strip the existing buildup, rinse with deionized water, and can seal the glass so the sprinklers do less damage between visits.
Can you clean the divided-light windows on my 1790s house?
Yes. Small panes and wood storms are cleaned by hand, pane by pane, and we keep water away from old glazing putty so it does not soften. It is slower than modern glass, and the quote says so.
Is my cedar roof safe to have cleaned?
Yes. We apply a wood-safe treatment at low pressure from the ladder or the edge and let the rain do the rinsing over the following weeks. Nobody walks the shakes and no pressure washer touches them.
How far in advance should I book a spring cleaning in Concord?
Three weeks in April and May is a safe margin. Most Concord houses take a full day for a two-person crew, and the drive from Brighton means we schedule Concord jobs in clusters with Lincoln and Lexington.
